Advanced Manners (Both Ends of the Leash)

Advanced Skills for Dogs and Handlers

Advanced Manners is a six-week session which covers how to proof all behaviors and help dogs generalize the information. They have the foundational skills, and now it is time to apply it to real life situations! Classes are one hour long each week.

We also cover:

  • How to work through distractions

  • Sitting politely as another dog passes

  • Sitting politely as a stranger greets you

  • Sitting politely for pets

  • Coming when called

  • Walking with you through a crowd

  • Staying in place as you cross the room

  • AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluation

  • And more!

The American Kennel Club (AKC) Canine Good Citizen test (CGC) is a certification program open to all dogs. It evaluates dogs in simulated everyday situations. Dogs that pass the CGC test are considered reliable family and community members and will receive a certificate from the AKC. Students and dogs interested in advancing their training, without the goal of taking the CGC, are also welcome to attend.

Prerequisites:

  • Private Session OR
  • Our Group Class, Basic Manners (The Power of Positive) and/or Intermediate Manners

This class is $150.
